Baby Shower and Fall Fun

I can't believe I'm already having baby showers. I still can't even believe I'm pregnant. My mom came up from Vegas and we had a shower at my house. Now I know why people don't host their own baby showers. It's way too much work. But it was nice showing off the crib bedding I spent so much time on.

I didn't get all the pictures I wanted because I was running around like a chicken with it's head cut off. But there were a few good ones. (Thanks Heidi, I wouldn't have had any without your help!)

After the shower we left all the mess and presents behind and took my niece to Cornbellys Corn Maze.

It was nice being out in the Fall weather, eating some tasty treats, and walking around the corn maze.

"
My niece had to pee in the corn because we were so lost we couldn't find our way out. Eventually we ended up just giving up. We were all tired, and it was getting cold. We pretty much chickened out.

"
The next morning we woke up to this and all the dirty dishes in the kitchen.

We started moving all the stuff over to the babys room and I sat down in her rocker and just started crying. It's funny when I look back now. Obviously I'm so grateful for all the gifts we got at the shower, but it was kind of overwhelming. I mean, this is real now. My house is being invaded by baby stuff, and this is only the beginning. Playpens, and strollers and diapers and lotions. For some reason, it was just really overwhelming. We got things organized and I'm feeling much better now. We sure do appreciate our family and friends support.

You threw a great shower - yummy food and fun! I feel bad you did so much work! Thanks for being a great host. :) You got some great stuff too.

I know what you mean that once you have all that baby stuff, it makes everything more real. A little person will actually be using all your new things! They kind of have a tendency to take over your house, but in the best possible way! I'm so excited for you to be a mommy!!

I love your pictures. What kind of camera do you have? I must know. The shower looked so fun. Did you like Cornbellies? I loved it--it was so cute.

I remember that feeling of being overwhelmed once you start getting baby stuff. It totally becomes real to you. I'm so excited for you!

I took those pictures!?! Wow, I'm pretty good ;)!!!

I promise I did the same thing, sat in the babies room and cried my heart out. It is overwhelming but the second you hold that baby in your arms, everything just makes sense.

Looks like you had fun at the corn maze. Remember when we were snowboarding and got stuck in the powder?! We were lauging so hard the I peed my pants!!

You are so funny! I'm trying not to laugh at your distress, but I totally understand. Where on earth do I put all these diapers??? Wish I could have come. Miss you!
