You MUST make these...

If there is any, I repeat, ANY recipe that you're going to try off my blog, make it this one. Nothing is better to me than a crock pot recipe. You throw some ingredients into a crock pot, set it on low, and go about your day. Then you come back to delicious food.

Darin even went so far to say that this was potentially the best meat I have ever made. That's a huge deal. So you should try these. You really, REALLY should.

I didn't even take a beautiful picture of them but don't let that deter you. Just make them.

Slow Cooker Pork Chops

Ingredients

1/4 cup olive oil
1 cup chicken broth
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon poultry seasoning
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
4 thick cut boneless pork chops
salt and pepper to taste

Directions

1.In a large bowl, whisk together the olive oil, chicken broth, garlic, paprika, garlic powder, poultry seasoning and basil. Pour into the slow cooker. Cut small slits in each pork chop with the tip of a knife, and season lightly with salt and pepper. Place pork chops into the slow cooker, cover, and cook on High for 4 hours. Baste periodically with the sauce.

In other news, I've decided that babies are tougher than we think they are. I think Heavenly Father knew that maybe some parents (like me) might be a bit clumsy. Even though they seem so fragile, I think they're pretty thick skinned. I feel like an awful parent admitting to these things but I'm sure I'm not the only one, so I think I'm safe.

-So one day when I was letting Diesel into the backyard to go potty, I bent down, while holding Nora, to clip his leash and hit her head on the door frame. (I feel even more awful writing these things down.)

-Last Sunday we were playing games at Darin's sisters house. I'm holding Nora, playing the game, and then my sister calls. Now, I'm a pretty good multi tasker but apparently not if it's three things, because I dropped my cell phone right on Nora's face. Luckily I was only about an inch away but gosh I felt bad. I almost cried.

-I've hit her head a couple times on tables while eating.

If she'd let someone else other than her Mommy hold her, we could potentially avoid the brain damage that I'm surely causing her. Don't worry, I'm not driving with her on my lap or anything. Actually, maybe that would be safer than me holding her.

I'm an awful Mother. Please don't turn me in to child protection services.

I'll have to try this one out! Yum!

Don't worry too much about bonking little Nora's head. I bet it happened to all of us! I know it did with me, and I turned out just fine. Well I guess it depends on who you ask. :)

Sounds delicious! I have to tell you that I bonked Kaden's head on the door frame once AND I also dropped my cell phone on his head too. He survived just fine, you're not alone. It does make you feel super bad though, I did cry both times. Poor kids! :) Nora is beautiful.

When I was little her was hit several times, of course by accident. It's like you just don't take into consideration space or something. Don't feel bad, Nora still loves you! So do I!
