Shame on me

I'm really going to try harder to stay up to date on my blog. Sometimes I just get so caught up in all of lifes daily things. Be looking for new posts shortly!! And thankfully for the wonders of technology I can even make it look like I posted them when I was supposed to rather than when I actually did. I'm sorry you've had to look at Christmas pictures for so long!

Strut Your Mutt

This past weekend Diesel and I went to "No More Homeless Pets in Utah" annual Strut Your Mutt. It was held at Sugarhouse Park. It was 1.5 mile walk with your dog around Sugarhouse Park as well as booths and dog shows. Diesel was pretty tired after the walk but he finished the whole thing!! All proceeds went to NMHPU to help end the euthanasia of homeless dogs and cats statewide. When No More Homeless Pets in Utah started in 2000, 46,000 animals were euthanized each year in Utah shelters. Now, 8 years later, that number has dropped to 33,000. Hopefully that number can continue to decrease. This is my first year doing it but I look forward to many more years.

This is one pooped pup!

There were a TON of other dogs and Diesel really enjoyed seeing all the different breeds. We even saw a few Bassett Hounds. :)

Real Soccer Game

So there are definitly perks to Darin's Dad knowing pretty much everybody. He's always able to get us tickets to cool stuff. Well he really outdid himself this time. He got us 4th ROW seats to the Real/LA Galaxy soccer game. Um I can't even tell you how the game ended because I was too busy staring at David Beckham the whole time. (I'm kidding, it really was a great game. It ended in a tie at 3-3.......i think haha) Eat your heart out girls.

Happy Anniversary!

Well we made it through year number 2. Everyone said the first year of marriage was the hardest and ours was a breeze so I was thinking that maybe the second year would be a bit of a challange, but turns out that one was really easy too. It's not hard when you're married to somebody that completely adores you. I'm so grateful to have such a wonderful husband and look forward to the rest of our naturally easy years together. We went to Park City and stayed at the Stein Erickson Lodge which was SO BEAUTIFUL. This is the view from our balcony.

Our room had a nice jetted bath tub, but if you feel like a bit of chlorine don't worry, you can walk up those steps to the full fledge HOT TUB in our bathroom. It was so nice.

So Darin has been following the traditional wedding gifts so far. The first year is paper, the second year is cotton. So he gives me my present and inside was LOTS of cotton balls.

So the first present I opened was a cotton swimsuit cover up that I've been wanting. He said "Here is the cotton swimsuit cover up you've been wanting. I figured you could use it when we go to California." (june 21-27) The second present I opened was a New York Yankees jersey (those of you that know me well, know that I am a HUGE yankees fan). He said, "Here's a cotton Yankees jersey because I know how much you love the Yankees. K there's one more present in there." I reached into the bottom of the bag and pulled out a small present wrapped in tissue paper. I unwrapped it and it took me a minute to even realize what it was. See if you can tell.

He said, "You'll be needing that jersey for the Yankees/Red Sox game we are going to in August." I FREAKED OUT. I've never been to New York and they are tearing down Yankee Stadium this year to build a new one. I really wanted to go to a game at the old stadium. They are complete nose bleed seats which I think is even that much better. So I know that is a really long story, but I just wanted to show you what a great husband I have. And somehow I have a feeling that the golf shoes I got for him don't quite measure up. Here are a few more pictures that we took.

For Sale!!!

After months of looking we have finally found a house that we REALLY LOVE! Our condo has treated us well and we have made lots of great friends but feel it's time to move into something a little bigger with a yard for Diesel to run around in and room to grow :) (I'm really sick of walking him down a flight of stairs everytime he has to do his business. ) So as long as we can sell our condo (which has proven to be a tad difficult) we will be building a house in Riverton. Everyone keep your fingers crossed that we will sell soon. Here is a floorplan of the new house we are building.
