Sweet sweet girl

My dad came up for the weekend, and my little sister is just getting so big! She is such a sweet little thing. Her voice just melts you like butter. I had to snap a few pictures of her.

I fear for the boy that falls in love with these eyes. He doesn't stand a chance.

Complete Heaven

If you're trying to watch your figure I would advise you just skip right over this post.

Bakerella has done it again! Since she's posted the recipe for these sweet treats I've already made them twice, and increased my pant size by 5 sizes. No, not really. But with how many I've eaten I'm surprised I haven't gained 100 pounds. Continue at your own pant sizes risk.

You MUST make these. But don't even consider making them without the chocolate ganache. So so so delicious. Check out the recipe here.

Birthdays are like farting.....

Sometimes they stink, but you still want to enjoy your own.
I know that's so disgusting. But when I saw that card I just had to get it for Darin's birthday. So funny!

Darin got a golf 10 pass to use all summer. He's so talented. I would love for him to practice a lot this summer and enter a tournament near the end of the summer.

I treated Darin to dinner for his birthday. I made him clam chowder (his favorite soup) and we had chocolate fondue for dessert. Yes, that is a bottle of brandy in the picture above. I made my first visit to the liquor store to buy the brandy for the fondue. I thought about acting like I was already drunk upon entering the store but decided that probably wouldn't be a good idea. So instead I just thought about being drunk as I wondered around the store looking for what I needed, and gave myself quite a laugh anyway.

I probably could have made the fondue without the Brandy but it was more fun this way. I felt like a real adult after that experience. :)

Super Bowl!

Do I care about football? Against Darin's dismay, not in the slightest. Do I love entertaining? You betcha! I'll pretty much use any excuse to invite people over for yummy food and fun, even if it means pretending to watch the game. Super bowl is always fun because it's around the same time as Darin's birthday so we get to celebrate both. So we invited Darin's family over for a Super Bowl, Birthday, Housewarming Party. Mollee pretty much stole the show like usual.
She wasn't too interested in watching the game either. She'd rather play with Grandpa instead.
Peanut butter chocolate rice krispie footballs. Awesome.
They couldn't wait long enough to let me get a full picture of the cake :)

Make a wish!

Your Day

Darin-I hope that you have a really great day today! I just want to let you know how much I love you. I can't say when I first saw you that it was love at first sight. You had to stalk me for awhile before it turned into that. =) But I sure did think you were cute! It's fun to look back now and see how much we've changed and grown together. I appreciate how hard working and determined you are.
Once you put your mind to something, there's no doubt that it's going to get done. You've taught me so much about responsibilty and you have no idea how much that means to me.

And to top it all off you're so incredibly handsome. You treat me like gold and I'm so lucky to have gotten a guy like you. So tonight's for you. I love you so much!

Present Hint: I can be done all around the world, but let's just focus on one spot for now.
