Manners

Really, I'm not sure if there's anything in life that brings more joy than a dog. I mean I don't have kids yet or anything so maybe I'll change my mind down the road, but for now I'm sticking with that.
Diesel is always SO excited to see me when I get home, he loves me even if I spank him, and he provides some major laughs along the way. Case in point:
Last week I took Diesel to the vet to get his yearly vaccinations. Last time I went to the vet I had to lift my 60 pound dog onto the examination table because my vet was 65 years old and skinnier than me. So this time around I thought I would have Diesel up on the table before the vet got in so I wouldn't embarrass myself. Don't laugh, you try lifting a 62 pound dog (yes he gained two pounds this year) onto an exam table while he's flailing. I promise it's not easy. So to my dismay the vet that came in this time was a young guy in his 30's that DEFINITELY would have had the capabilities to lift Diesel himself. But whatever, I was only sweating for a good 5 minutes after he got in there, so it wasn't too bad.
The vet said we needed to cut back on Diesels 3 cups a day food regimen we had him on. He said Diesel was developing utters, which is funny because that's what I call Diesels belly fat rolls.

As he's checking everything out on Diesel of course Diesel is checking out everything on him. So he's all up in the vets face and the vet says "ah... you gonna give me a kiss" which was a definite possibility because Diesel does LOVE to give people kisses. But instead he gets an inch from the vets face and lets out a nice belch. So I apologized and said, "Sorry my dog has no manners." but really what I was thinking was "I'd burp in your face too if you said I had utters".

Don't listen to a word anyone says Deisel. You're not fat. You're perfect just the way your are.
